We just had a porch/patio installed and are trying to keep with a nautical theme. This light filled the bill exactly.
We ordered the 12″ model. The size is in reference to the height NOT the diameter. It’s stainless steel with a glass globe. The glass globe is quite clear with no imperfections. Initially we put a 100 watt bulb in. WHOA NELLIE! That was way too bright. A 60 watt bulb should be sufficient.
We replaced an existing porch light so installation was easy. You can have it mounted and throwing light within 30 minutes with common hand tools.
